Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju's so-called "Gen Z romance" film Dude has a fan in the latter's Premalu co-star Sangeeth Prathap. The actor, who recently wished Mamitha success for her Tamil debut before the film's release, took to Instagram the other day to express his appreciation for her and the film. Saying he feels happy and proud about Mamitha and sharing her character's photograph, Sangeeth wrote, "Every emotional scene made me root for you even more, and now I feel fulfilled for everything I hoped for." The editor-actor also praised Pradeep's performance in the film, saying, he "rocked it". He also wished the Love Today and Dragon star success in every one of his projects going forward.
Sangeeth described Pradeep and Mamitha's combination in the film with a fire emoticon as well. Tagging the film's director Keerthiswaran, he said, "U made it man."
Dude tells the story of cousins who come together to launch an event-planning venture. However, when they come too close together, one of them comes up with a plan to get married.
The film's cast includes Sarathkumar, Rohini, Hridhu Haroon, and Neha Shetty, among others. Dude is among the few films to release in theatres on Diwali this year, a list that also includes Mari Selvaraj's Bison and Harish Kalyan's Diesel.
