The trailer for Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, released earlier this Thursday, much to the excitement of the actors' fans and film buffs. Joining the chorus of well wishers for the film is Sangeeth Prathap, who is Mamitha's co-star from last year's blockbuster Premalu. On his Instagram Stories space, Sangeeth shared stills from the Dude trailer featuring Mamitha and Pradeep, tagged the Premalu star and wrote, "From home to Kollywood, Thookkum." For your information, 'Thookkum' is a Malayalam slang word that roughly means that the person it refers to will be successful.
In response to Sandeep, Mamitha shared the post and used a "face holding back tears" emoticon.
Dude marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran. The film's producer, Mythri Movie Makers, is yet to reveal specific details about its plot. However, the Dude trailer hints that the film stars Pradeep as an angry youngster experiencing a romantic breakup. Mamitha stars in the film as the male protagonist's best friend, and the trailer suggests that they are lovers. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini Molleti, Dravid Selvam, and Aishwarya Sharma, among others, are also part of the cast. Dude is set for an October 17 release in theatres.
