Atharvaa's latest film Thanal, directed by Ravindra Madhava is all set to arrive on OTT soon. The film, which was released theatrically on September 12, will hit Prime Video on October 17, announced the platform on their social media handles. Upon release, the film was received with mixed reviews.
Thanal revolves around six newly recruited police trainees, including Atharvaa’s unnamed character, who are unexpectedly sent on night rounds even before receiving their official appointment orders. During their patrol, they come across a secluded settlement where strange and suspicious activities are underway. What starts as a simple duty soon turns into a gripping encounter as the recruits uncover who is behind the mystery and are forced to confront them head-on.
Thanal also stars Ashwin Kakumanu as an antagonist and Lavanya Tripathi as the female lead along with a host of other actors including Sha Ra, Barani, Selva, Azhagam Perumal, Bose Venkat, Lakshmi Priya, Bhaarath, Thoufiq, Sarvhaa and Pradeep Vijayan.
On the technical team, the film has music by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography and editing by Sakthi Saravanan and Kalaivanan, respectively.
