Vishal steps in to direct Magudam after creative differences with Ravi Arasu

In a shocking turn of events, Vishal's upcoming film Magudam has hit a crisis as the actor has now stepped in to direct his 35th film following creative differences with director Ravi Arasu. The film, which is entering is last leg of shoot, will now been helmed by Vishal himself. Pictures and videos from the sets of the project with the actor providing instructions to the crew, have been shared widely on social media.

While details regarding what transpired between the actor and director remains unknown, Vishal has now taken the director's hat to ensure that the project moves forward smoothly under his own vision. Vishal has only acted and produced films, and Magudam will mark the first time he is helming a project. It is also not known if the story will undergo significant changes under Vishal's direction.

The action film also stars Dushara Vijayan as the female lead, with Anjali and Yogi Babu in prominent roles. Plot details are under wraps. However, the first look poster of the film featured Vishal in three distinct looks: as a corporate office employee, a young don, and a slightly older gang leader.

This film marks the 99th production feature of the popular Super Good Films banner.

Magudam's music will be composed by GV Prakash, who is joining hands with the actor for the second time after Mark Antony. Cinematography is by Richard M Nathan, and editing is handled by Srikanth NB. G Durairaj is the production designer.
