In an emotional note, actor-politician Kamal Haasan penned his birthday wish to his daughter Akshara on her 34th birthday. He said he is proud of the person she has grown up to be.

He wrote that before even seeing Akshara's eyes, he thanked Sarika (his ex-wife) for gifting such eyes to her. He also added that seeing a bit of his brown eyes' semblance in hers, he claimed that it was his childishness.

He wished her, saying, "You have grown into a beautiful person both in form and thought as well." He also said that he feels glad that she had preserved her inner child and said that the child is his as well.

Introduced in Dhanush starrer Shamitabh (2015), Akshara made acting appearances in Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana (2017), Vivegam (2017), Kadaram Kondan (2019), and Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu (2022). Her Agni Siragugal awaits a release. Her acting credits also include the Tamil web series Fingertip (2019).
