After having a full-blown mental breakdown on the fourth day inside the Bigg Boss House, Nandhini has made a dramatic exit from this season after requesting Bigg Boss to leave the show. "I want to leave this place which is filled with fake people," Nandhini said, before stepping out of the show without bidding goodbye to her fellow contestants. These incidents had taken place at a crucial juncture, and a day ahead of the first week elimination round.
Although Nandhini had previously stated her desire to leave the show within 20-30 days, her stay was cut short even earlier following multiple confrontations with the housemates.
Following the events of day 4 where Nandhini became inconsolable after being imitated by other contestants, Nandhini screamed at her housemates, saying, "I can't be as fake as you people. You can't question that I show to people. I have yearned to be loved. I am not the person who is willing to act lovey-dovey to impress everyone and earn their trust. If you want the title, then be real and fight for it. I want to exit the house." She later blamed Kemy for having doubts about her love for her, and blasted at Kani Thiru for the same. She expressed her desire to leave the show citing the above reasons.
While fellow housemate VJ Paru went ahead to console her, Tushaar stopped her from doing so, leading to further confrontation between the duo. Tushaar, who became the house captain this week, tried to convince her to stay inside the house, underlining her struggle to reach the stage. He broke down, urging her to reconsider her decision. Paru also approached her to cool down the situation, explaining her stance of wanting to stand by her side. Nandhini mentioned how real and truthful she is, but reiterated her prior comments on many of the housemates putting up a fake personality to win the show.
Parvathi requested her to seek help through therapy for the trauma she had undergone in her life. While Nandhini denied it, Paru continued to push her to take therapy for her mental health. After continuing to state her reasons for wanting to leave the show, Bigg Boss had called her to the confession room to understand the situation in detail. After she stood by her words strongly, Bigg Boss requested her to leave by another door beside her. Nandhini's exit had not been informed to the other housemates of the show and would likely been known after a few hours.
Nandhini's decision to leave the house has come as a shocker for audiences and fans who had been rooting for her. Many had also taken to social media asking Vijay Television and the makers of the show to send her home, as her mental health had visibly deteriorated since the games began. Several viewers had also praised her for voicing out the issues inside the house and putting her mental health first.
This is not the first time contestants had walked out of the show within a few days of the reality show's launch. In the first season in 2017, actor Sri had exited Bigg Boss after just a day of being inside the house.
The star-studded launch of Bigg Boss Tamil's season 9 was unveiled with 20 contestants on Sunday with actor Vijay Sethupathi returning as host for this season. This current season is expected to go on for 106 days
