Composer Anirudh has received the Kalaimamani Award that he recently won from CM MK Stalin. Earlier today, the composer took to his X handle to share some pictures of him holding the award with the Chief Minister. Also part of the function is Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin. The composer captioned the post, "Heartfelt thanks."
Anirudh was named a winner of the aforesaid award in late September. Following the announcement, the acclaimed composer conveyed his gratitude for it through social media. He wrote on X, “I am humble to be conferred with the prestigious Kalaimamani Award by our state. My sincere thanks to the Tamil Nadu Government, our Honourable Chief Minister Thiru M K Stalin avl, Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin avl, and Iyal Isai Nadaga Sangam for this recognition.”
The composer also expressed his gratitude to those who have worked with him so far in his career. "A big thank you to all my directors, producers, singers, lyricists, and my entire Albuqurque records team and most importantly my beloved fans and music lovers for their constant love and support." At the end of his gratitude note, he wrote, "This honour is not just mine, but ours. Grateful, always."
The Kalaimamani Award is regarded as the highest civilian honour by the state government for contributions to the fields of arts, literature, and culture. Anirudh won it for the year 2023 for his work as a music director. The other awardees include director Lingusamy as well as actors SJ Suryah, Sai Pallavi, and Manikandan.
