Lyricist Vivek took to social media to express his wishes for his peer, Vishnu Edavan, who is making his directorial debut Hi. Nayanthara and Kavin lead the cast of the film.

On his X handle, Vivek wrote, "Best best wishes to my dearest Vishnu Edavan for his debut film Hi :) .. Say Hi to this amazing talent who is already a brilliant lyricist !! Let success find you in everything you do brother. Best wishes again to you and team."

The title and the first look at the film was revealed on October 8. The rest of the cast of the film is yet to be announced.

Jen Martin is composing music for the film. The rest of the crew consists of Rajesh Shukla as the cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor, Sekar B as the art director, and Dinesh Kasi as the stunt choreographer.

Hi is produced by SS Lalit Kumar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan with Akshay Kejriwal and KS Mayilvaganan as the co-producers. 7 Screen Studios, Zee Studios, and Rowdy Pictures are the banners backing the film.
