Do you know that actor Suriya initially planned to become a factory owner before his foray into cinema? Many months ago, the actor reminisced about his family's financial struggles, which contributed to his decision to change the career path. Back then, the actor shared that he joined a clothing factory to learn about the business so that he could start a factory of his own in the future. He also shared that he earned a salary of INR 1200 per month and that the factory where he worked was unaware of his film background.
A long time ago, Suriya talked to Doordarshan about what he did with his salary from the establishment. He revealed that the day he earned the salary also marked his mother's birthday. Therefore, the actor decided to present his mother with a saree using his first salary. While adding that he got the product at a discount, the actor disclosed that it cost him INR 50 more than his first month's salary. However, the actor's gesture is still remembered as an example of the level of his love for his mother.
On the work front, Suriya's upcoming films include Karuppu with filmmaker RJ Balaji and his 46th film with director Venky Atluri.
