Pa Ranjith took to social media to speak about the recent attack on the Chief Justice of India BR Gavai. During a hearing on October 6, a lawyer hurled a shoe at CJI Gavai, as he was unhappy about the CJI's remarks about the restoration of a Lord Vishnu idol at the Khajuraho temple.

On his X handle, Ranjith wrote, "The manufactured hate against Honourable Justice Gawai on social media over the last few days led an advocate to hurl his footwear at the CJI on Supreme Court premises during a hearing. This is not just a moment of shame but a dangerous reflection of deep disregard for constitutional values."

He added, "This very disrespectful act of humiliating a person who is the vanguard of our judicial system is unacceptable. This incident insults the very idea of justice and equality that the law of the land stands for."

The lawyer, Rakesh Kishore, was later suspended by the Bar Council of India, for his act at the court.
