After Vaazhai, Mari Selvaraj returns to screens with another rooted story Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead who is making a giant stride in his career with this drama. The actor, who has previously worked on Adithya Varma (2019) and Mahaan (2022) is rooting for the success of this film — a project that he has given it all. Speaking at a pre-release event, Dhruv gave an introduction for himself and his career so far. "Till now I have acted in two films. Even if you hadn't watched those two, there's no problem. You needn't watch it also. But you should definitely watch this film as I consider this my first film," he said.

Praising the cast and crew of Bison, he shared that he has given his "100 per cent efforts" for the film. "You can decide after watching the film in theatres if you can see those efforts on screen. Beyond me and everyone, my director Mari Selvaraj has worked very hard to create a great film. That sambhavam should reach everyone and make everyone think," he added.

Mari Selvaraj too echoed a similar sentiment for Dhruv. In a recent interview, Mari recalled how much the actor struggled to prepare for the movie. "After a point, I found it too hard seeing him toil a lot. I asked him if he could make a movie out of another story. Dhruv replied, 'You have trusted me with this story; we cannot go back. This is your dream project. I trust you like my father with the hope you will take care of me'. I was emotionally moved when he said this. It was with his positivity that we proceeded with Bison."

Reportedly a sports drama based on kabaddi, Bison Kaalamaadan is produced by Pa Ranjith and Aditi Anand under their Neelam Studios banner, alongside Sameer Nair and Deepak Segal of Applause Entertainment. It is described as a film of "perseverance, determination and survival".

Bison also stars Anupama Parameshwaran, Lal, Ameer, Pasupathi, Rajisha Vijayan Kalaiyarasan, Hari Krishnan Anbudurai, Azhagam Perumal, and Madhan Dhakshinamoorthy.

The technical crew of the film includes Ezhil Arasu K as the cinematographer, Sakthi Thiru as the editor, Kumar Gangappan as the art director, and Dhilip Subbarayan as the action choreographer.

Bison Kaalamaadan is slated to hit theatres worldwide on October 17 during the occasion of Diwali.
