Last week, director Mari Selvaraj's film Bison Kaalamaadan released on Netflix after a successful theatrical run, which saw it gross over 75 crore from cinemas worldwide. The film continues to garner positive reviews from audiences even after its digital release. The latest to praise the film is former India cricketer Dinesh Karthik. "Bison Kaalamaadan. Loved the movie. What a movie maker Mari Selvaraj is! His movies are heavy and hard hitting," Dinesh wrote on X. The film stars Dhruv Vikram as Kittan, a young man, wanting to break into the Indian National Kabbadi Team. However, making his journey challenging is a society full of caste differences, violence, and corruption.

"Dhruv must have worked his backside off to do it so realistically," Dinesh wrote, referring to the actor's hard work to get into shape for the character. Earlier, Bison co-producer and Manathi Ganesan, the Arjuna Award winning Kabaddi player on whom the film is based, also praised Dhruv's effort to become the character. "All of the supporting cast were very good too Well done and more power to all of you," Dinesh concluded his Bison Kaalamaadan movie review.
