Actor Keerthy Suresh recently made some revelations about how playing certain characters affected her mentally and how she dealt with this. Speaking to Sudhir Srinivasan, Keerthy said that she would immerse herself into a character while doing a film. After the release of her 2018 film Mahanati, Keerthy said that acting in the film took an emotional toll on her. In the latest interview, she revealed that she did yoga and watched the popular sitcom Friends to ensure that a similar situation would not happen while acting in Saani Kaayidham. Keerthy Suresh disclosed that she made the "conscious decision" of watching the comedy show, which helped her come out of the intense character. "I think after a point, it became something beyond a series, a form of therapy," Keerthy said.

The actor also stated that while she has watched Friends six or seven times, she finds something to return to it now and then. That said, she opined that some of today's audiences do not like it to the same extent that her generation does. "There are a few kids these days who I do not think they really like Friends that much," Keerthy said. She continued, "I wondered 'Didn't the humour work out for them to that same extent?' I feel like the humour in the show is timeless."

Keerthy Suresh will next be seen in Revolver Rita, which is hitting theatres tomorrow.
