The makers of the Karthi-Vaa Vaathiyaar have released the second single, 'Aalapikkey Ummak', from the film's soundtrack. This single is the track featured on the film's teaser, which was well received.

Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music, in his third collaboration with Nalan Kumarasamy, after Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016). Independent artist and rapper Kelithee has rapped and written the lyrics for 'Aalapikkey Ummak'.

Santhosh and Kelithee have earlier collaborated on an indepedent single, 'Vetrivel, along with producer ofRo.

Vaa Vaathiyar is director Nalan Kumarasamy's first feature directorial in 9 years, after Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016).

The cast of Vaa Vaathiyaar also includes Krithi Shetty, Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Anand Raj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, PLThenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, Madhur Mittal, among others.

Behind the scenes, the crew of the film includes George C Williams Isc as the director of photography, Vetre Krishnan as the editor, DRK Kiran as the production designer, and ‘Anl’ Arasu as the stunt choreographer.
