After a long wait, the makers of My Lord, starring Sasikumar and Chaithra Achar in lead roles, have shared an update from the film by releasing its first single 'Esa Kaaththa'. The melodious number in Sean Roldan's music, which charts the life of a married couple played by the leads, has been sung by Sathyaprakash and Chinmayi with lyrics Written by Yugabharathi.

In an earlier interview with Cinema Express, popular Kannada actor Chaithra said the film was her first real exposure to Tamil language as the makers started shooting My Lord way before her debut film 3BHK. “Raju sir actually made it a rule on set that everyone had to speak to me in Tamil, no matter what. That really pushed me to pick it up quickly,” she laughs. “It was quite the shift—from being a Bangalore girl to playing a Kovilpatti village girl. The dialect, body language, and even the walking and dressing style—all of it was new to me,” she said.

Directed by Raju Murugan, My Lord also stars Asha Sharath, Guru Somasundaram, Gopi Nainar, and Vasumithra, among others. Jayanthi Ambethkumar is producing the emotional drama under the Olympia Pictures banner, while Ambethkumar is presenting it.

On the technical front, My Lord has cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Sathyaraj Natarajan. The film is currently in the post-production stage. Details about the film's plot and release date are awaited.
