Actor–filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan, who has been on a dream run at the box office this year, made headlines once again, this time for a heartfelt gesture. He gifted a brand new car to his close friend and collaborator, director Ramesh Narayanasamy.
The moment came to light after Ramesh shared an emotional video on Instagram, capturing the surprise and their long-time friendship. In the clip, Pradeep can be heard telling him, “My gift to you for your loyalty. It’s a small one. Extraordinary work. It’s just the beginning. A long way to go ahead. Thank you so much! I love you.”
Ramesh, visibly overwhelmed, penned a heartfelt note along with the video. “My first car from my Nanban… Not just a gift, but a symbol of trust, belief, and the journey we’ve shared,” he wrote. “Thank you, @pradeep_ranganathan, bro, for this beautiful memory and for always believing in me. Love you, bro. This moment will always remind me of the journey and the bond we’ve built. This is a memory that will outlive the car itself. #foreverloyal.”
Ramesh Narayanasamy had co-directed Dragon, one of this year’s biggest hits, alongside Ashwath Marimuthu. The film was led by Pradeep Ranganathan and set the tone for what would become an exceptional year for the actor-director.
Following Dragon’s success in February, Pradeep delivered another massive blockbuster with director Keerthiswaran’s Dude, which released in October. Both films cemented his streak as one of the most bankable young stars of 2024.
And his momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Pradeep has yet another release lined up before the year ends: director Vignesh Shivan’s Love Insurance Kompany (LIK). The romantic entertainer, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, is slated to release on December 18. The film is produced by Nayanthara, actor and wife of Vignesh Shivan.
