At one point in the latest Kaantha trailer, one character calls Dulquer Salmaan's film star "King of Acting". In fact, not just the film, but even his co-star Rana Daggubati feels the same about Dulquer. At the film's trailer launch event earlier today, Rana praised Dulquer's acting in the film. The actor expressed confidence in his co-star's performance in the film, saying, "The whole of Tamil Nadu would call him 'King of Acting' after its release." He also said that filmmakers would consider Dulquer first when they write period films. "Only if his dates are not available, they will go to other actors," said the Baahubali star about Dulquer, who previously starred in Mahanati alongside Keerthy Suresh.

The actor also said that working in Kaantha made him a Dulquer Salmaan fan. "He is a friend and such a film lover, that I knew. But after this film, man! I am a fan," Rana said about his co-star, whom he called "an amazing actor" as well. Rana added that even his father said the same thing about Dulquer. "My father said, 'Dulquer is so good. Just keep watching him.'"

Rana and Dulquer are also producing the film under their Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films banners, respectively. Also starring Samuthirakani and Bhagyashri Borse in key roles, Kaantha is set to hit theatres on November 14, Friday.
