After starring in Kingston, GV Prakash's next film, Adangathey, directed by Shanmugam Muthusamy, has been given a release window by the makers.

Produced by Sri Green Productions' MS Saravanan, the film will discuss contemporary politics in a "lively manner". Apart from Sarathkumar and GV Prakash, who will also be the film's composer, the film also stars Mandira Bedi, Surabhi, Yogi Babu and Thambi Ramaiah, with filmmaker-turned-politician Seeman playing a guest role.

Calling the film a "political thriller," director Shanmugam Muthusamy said GV Prakash plays a two-wheeler mechanic and Sarathkumar a political leader, whose paths cross. He adds that the film will encompass Tiruchy to Kasi and he chose June as a perfect time to release it due to the film's genre and TN politics, which will "heat up" ahead of the 2026 State Assembly Elections.

The rest of Adangathey technical crew comprises cinematographer PK Varma, editor D Sivanandeeswaran, art director AR Mohan and stunt choreographer Rajasekhar.
