Samyuktha Vijayan's film about queer identity, Neela Nira Sooriyan, is now available to stream on Aha Tamil. The film premiered on the streamer on March 8, on the occasion of Women's Day.

Neela Nira Sooriyan, backed by Mala Manyan under the First Copy Productions banner, hit theatres on October 4 and opened to positive reviews.

Neela Nira Sooriyan revolves around the protagonist, also played by Samyuktha Vijayan, who is assigned male at birth but struggles with their identity all through their school life, as they are not able to openly embrace their transgender identity in a homophobic world.

Steev Benjamin is the music composer, editor, and cinematographer for Neela Nira Sooriyan. Samyuktha Vijayan and Mala Manyan co-produced the film. The film was the official selection at the International Film Festival of India, 2023, and at the Glasgow Film Festival, 2024.
