It is not new for Shiva to be a part of a comedy film. But his role in Ram’s Paranthu Po definitely seems unprecedented. The makers of the film unveiled the teaser on Wednesday.

The teaser introduces Shiva as a father to a young brat, Anbu (played by master Mitul Ryan), who regularly goes missing and indulges in mischievous activities. We are also introduced to Grace Antony as Anbu’s mother.

Paranthu Po also stars Anjali, Aju Varghese, Vijay Yesudas, Dia, Jess Sweejan, and Sreeja Ravi. Paranthu Po had its premiere at the 54th International Film Festival, Rotterdam, in January.

Santhosh Dhayanidhi composes the music for Paranthu Po, which has Madhan Karky writing the lyrics. The rest of the film's crew includes NK Ekambaram as the director of photography, Mathi VS as the editor, Stunt Silva handling the action choreography, and Kumar Gangappan as the production designer.

JioHotstar, GK Bros Production and Seven Seas and Seven Hills Production are backing the film. Paranthu Po is all set to hit theatres on July 4.
