Surrender Trailer: Need for money and a culture of guns raise stakes in this film

Surrender, which stars Tharshan in the lead, also stars Malayalam actor Lal, who has recently appeared in a wave of Tamil projects like Kadhalikka Neramillai, Star, Maammannan, and Singapore Saloon

A new trailer for the upcoming thriller, Surrender, has been released online recently. With Tharshan in the lead, the film is set to theatrically release on August 1.

The trailer which starts with an accident, shows Tharshan and Lal as police officers. It also introduces the antagonist, who is portrayed by Sujith Shanker, who is contracted to complete a task with high stakes, which will propel him into new heights. The trailer then cuts to a montage, that highlights different conflicts faced by a number of people, which hints at a larger problem at play. With the different ambitions of different characters, Tharshan is shown to be an ideal policeman, with Lal trying to avoid conflicts before his retirement. The trailer hints at a story which poses high stakes for everyone involved.

The rest of the cast of the film includes Munishkanth, Padine Kumar, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Sundareswaran, amongst others.

Written and directed by Gowthaman Ganapathy, music for Surrender is composed by Vikas Badisa. The rest of the crew for the film includes Meyyendiran as the director of photography, Renu Gopal as the editor, RK Manoj Kumar as the art director, and Action Sandhosh handling stunts. R Senthilkumar serves as an executive producer with VRV Kumar serving as the producer. Upbeat Pictures is backing the film.
