Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy shooting for his film with Sudha Kongara, titled Parasakthi. The film also stars Atharvaa, Sreeleela, and Ravi Mohan in prominent roles. The Pollachi schedule of shooting for the film has recently commenced, and videos of the abovementioned actors from the sets have been making rounds on social media. Interestingly, one of these videos features Telugu actor Rana Daggubati, creating curiosity around his involvement in the film.

In a video shared on social media, Sreeleela is first seen on the film’s sets, following which Rana Daggubati is seen attending to fans and signing a few autographs. His involvement in Parasakthi is widely being discussed by audiences online following the video. However, the makers are yet to confirm the same.

A political period drama, Parasakthi also stars Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, Guru Somasundaram, Basil Joseph, Ranjan Ramanayake, and Papri Ghosh. Based on true events, the story revolves around the Anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu that happened in 1965.

Initially, Sudha was set to make this film with Suriya in the lead role, along with Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Nazim, and Vijay Varma. However, the film was shelved, following which Sudha revived the project with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead.

The film's director, Sudha Kongara, mentioned during a press conference weeks ago that there are 40 days of shooting left to complete production. The director's regular collaborator, GV Prakash, is the composer of the film, with the technical crew rounded out by cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, editor Sathish Suriya, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar.

Apart from Pollachi, the shooting for Parasakthi has taken place in locations such as Chennai, Chidambaram, Karaikudi, Madurai, and Colombo. Backed by Dawn Pictures, the film marks Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th. It is slated to hit theatres for Pongal 2026, alongside Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.

Meanwhile, Rana Daggubati recently had the release of Rana Naidu season 2 on Netflix. He was last seen in Rajinikanth-TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan in Tamil. He played the role of a narrator in Keerthy Suresh and Suhas’ Uppu Kappurambu, which premiered on Prime Video recently. Recent reports have suggested that the actor has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning as part of its investigation into the alleged promotion of online betting applications.
