Actor Vishnu Vishal, currently promoting his brother Rudra’s debut film Oho Enthan Baby, opened up in a candid conversation with Galatta Plus about a particularly disheartening experience surrounding his 2021 film Kaadan.

Recounting his role in the film, Vishnu said, “In the film Kaadan, I was there from the first frame to the last frame, as per the storyline. Rana Daggubati's character was supposed to die in the film, following which my character would become the protector of the forest. Just five days before the film's release, I come to know that they've trimmed my portions to keep it only till the interval. This film came after one of my career's best, Ratsasan. Despite knowing that my scenes were cut and my character's journey was limited to the first half, I promoted the film with all my heart, giving interviews for five whole days."

Even more than the professional setback, it was the lack of communication that left a lasting impact. “While that was my duty, after the film's release to date, I have not spoken to Prabhu Solomon sir, because he didn't tell me directly about this, and I had to find out through a different source. Like this, a lot has happened to me, but I have never brought it up anywhere.”

Directed by Prabhu Solomon and starring Rana Daggubati in the lead, Kaadan (also released as Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi and Aranya in Telugu) was a trilingual eco-drama that explored the conflict between man and nature, focusing on forest conservation and the plight of elephants.

Oho Enthan Baby marks the debut of Vishnu Vishal's brother Rudra and the Tamil debut of Mithila Palkar. The film also stars Anju Kurian, Mysskin, Redin Kingsley, Karunakaran, Geetha Kailasam, Balaji Sakthivel, Sujatha Babu, Nirmal Pillai, Nivashini, Arun Kurian, Vijayasarathy, Kasthuri, and Vaibhavi Tandle. Vishnu Vishal has produced the film under his banner, Vishnu Vishal Studioz, along with Romeo Pictures and D Company.

The technical crew of Oho Enthan Baby comprises composer Jen Martin, cinematographer Harish Kannan, and editor RC Kannan. The film is gearing up to hit theatres on July 11.
