Vishnu Vishal has been in the news for the naming of his daughter by Aamir Khan, as well as for his upcoming film as producer, Oho Enthan Baby, which introduces his brother Rudra in the lead role. Now, the actor has also confirmed that he will next work on the sequels of Gatta Kusthi and Ratsasan.

Speaking at the pre-release event of Oho Enthan Baby, which took place in Chennai on Sunday, Vishnu Vishal announced, "I am working on Gatta Kusthi 2 next. Next year, I will also work on Ratsasan 2." He also confirmed that both the films will be backed by his home banner, Vishnu Vishal Studioz, which is also behind Oho Enthan Baby.

Helmed by Chella Ayyavu, Gatta Kusthi hit theatres in 2022 and opened to largely positive reviews. The film also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead role. Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal's Ratsasan is deemed to be one of his career's best. The film, helmed by Ram Kumar, hit theatres in 2018 and opened to both critical acclaim and commercial success. Vishnu Vishal, who collaborated with Ram Kumar before Ratsasan on Mundasupatti, recently wrapped filming for his third with the director, titled Irandu Vaanam.

Vishnu Vishal also spoke highly of his brother Rudra at the pre-release event. "I am ten years older than Rudra, and so I never saw him as competition. We always shared a great camaraderie as brothers. As children, we would play video games all the time, and I would tease him when he would lose the game. Rudra was also interested in cricket, and so, when I played, he would come along and watch me play. While we never had fights growing up, we have been having arguments related to his career of late. But they're healthy arguments, nonetheless." He further revealed that Oho Enthan Baby is not Rudra's first tryst with cinema. "Rudra has previously worked with AR Murugadoss sir as an assistant director, and so his inputs are quite creative, and therefore we sometimes have disagreements."

'I never thought I could be a hero'

Elaborating on the role he has played in the Krishnakumar Ramakumar directorial, Vishnu explained, "I don't play a cameo in Oho Enthan Baby; I play a pretty full-fledged role. Rudra plays the role of an assistant director who comes to narrate a story to me, as I play myself in the film."

Further, Vishnu Vishal also announced that Aamir Khan named his baby Mira, which coincidentally happens to be the name of the female lead in Oho Enthan Baby. Sharing Aamir's review of the upcoming film, Vishnu said, "Aamir Khan sir watched Oho Enthan Baby yesterday, and he teared up while watching the second half. He said that films that talk about relationships have become rare and appreciated our efforts as well as the film. The first film that Rudra worked upon as assistant director was Darbar. Aamir Khan has appreciated his first film as lead actor. What more can Rudra ask for?"

While he is set to be seen in his brother Rudra’s debut, Oho Enthan Baby, he recently wrapped filming for his third with director Ramkumar after Mundasupatti and Ratsasan. The film is titled Irandu Vaanam and also stars Mamitha Baiju in the lead. He is also working on the cop thriller Aaryan, helmed by Praveen K. In the pipeline, he also has a film with Sathish Selvakumar of Bachelor fame.
