Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who tasted a resounding success with his recent release Amaran, opened up on the double standards he is subjected to by certain groups.

In his latest interview to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said that there is "a group" that gives credits to everyone in the film's team except him if the film becomes a hit but solely blames him alone if a film fails. He adds that he doesn't have a problem taking responsibility for the failures, but he said in the same vein he can enjoy his hit films as well.

In the same interview, the actor also said the many belonging in the film industry constantly treated him as an outsider, who they thought didn't deserve this stardom. He added he will not even reply to them and just give a smile and leave. He remarks that he does not even want the successful films of his to be an answer to such people, as he wants his films to just be a source of celebration or enjoyment for his fans who root for him no matter what.

After the blockbuster success of director Rajkumar Periasamy's Amaran, the biopic of late Major Mukund Varadarajan, the actor is focusing on his next one with AR Murugadoss and his 25th film with Sudha Kongara, which also stars Jayam Ravi, Atharvaa and Sreeleela in crucial roles.
