First single 'Uyir Pathikaama' from Karthi's Vaa Vaathiyaar out

The first single from Karthi and Krithi Shetty's upcoming film Vaa Vaathiyaar has been released by the makers. Titled 'Uyir Pathikaama', the song has been sung by Vijaynarain, Aditya Ravindran, and Santhosh Narayanan with lyrics written by Vivek.

Sharing the song, Karthi wrote, "Supa groovy song...thank you Santhosh Narayanan and team! Hope you guys love it too. Happy Valentine’s Day! (sic)."

Apart from Karthi and Krithi Shetty, the film also has Sathyaraj and Rajkiran in prominent roles. According to reports, the film revolves around a fanatic fan of legendary actor MGR, who raises his grandson like a reincarnation of MGR.

Vaa Vaathiyaar has music by Santhosh Narayanan in his third collaboration with Kumarasamy after Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016). The rest of the technical team includes cinematographer George C Williams and editor Vetre Krishnan.

The film is bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner, Studio Green productions. Details regarding the plot and release date for the film have not been announced yet. Karthi was last seen in Meiyazhagan along with Arvind Swamy and Sri Divya, directed by C Prem Kumar and produced by Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment. Karthi also has Sardar 2, directed by PS Mithran.
