Karthi's Vaa Vaathiyaar first single to be out on this date

According to reports, the film revolves around a fanatic fan of legendary actor MGR, who raises his grandson like a reincarnation of MGR

Days after the teaser glimpse of the film was unveiled, makers of Karthi's next, Vaa Vaathiyaar, shared an update about the film's first single on Thursday.

Accordingly, the first single titled 'Uyir Paathikaama' will be releasing on February 14, on Friday. The makers have described the number as the "coolest love song."

The film that stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead, also has Sathyaraj and Rajkiran in prominent roles. According to reports, the film revolves around a fanatic fan of legendary actor MGR, who raises his grandson like a reincarnation of MGR.

Vaa Vaathiyaar has music by Santhosh Narayanan in his third collaboration with Kumarasamy after Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016). The rest of the technical team includes cinematographer George C Williams and editor Vetre Krishnan.

The film is bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner, Studio Green productions. Details regarding the plot and release date for the film have not been announced yet. Karthi was last seen in Meiyazhagan along with Arvind Swamy and Sri Divya, directed by C Prem Kumar and produced by Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment. Karthi also has Sardar 2, directed by PS Mithran.
