Earlier today, ZEE5 announced that it would start streaming Mask, starring Kavin and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles, from January 09, 2026, onwards. The film, which hails from writer-director Vikarnan Ashok, follows Kavin's character, Velu, who makes morally dubious decisions while hiding under his private detective facade. When a mysterious gang surfaces, alongside forces that operate behind philanthropic fronts and certain secrets, it impacts Velu's life in dangerous ways. When the investigation goes deeper and deeper, Velu must confront both the impact of his deeds and the true nature of the crime.

Andrea produced the film under The Show Must Go On banner alongside SP Chokkalingam's Black Madras Films label, whereas Vetri Maaran presented it through Grass Root Film Company.

Speaking about the film, Kavin shared, "Mask has already had its journey with audiences, and it’s great that the film is now reaching a much wider set of viewers through Tamil ZEE5. Velu is a layered character, and I’m glad more people will get to experience the film and its intensity on the platform."

On the other hand, presenter and erstwhile producer Vetri Maaran stated, "The film deals with themes that remain relevant beyond its theatrical release. With Mask streaming on Tamil ZEE5, the story now can travel further and connect with audiences who may be discovering it for the first time."

On the technical front, it has composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer RD Rajasekhar, and editor Ramar. According to data from the industry tracker Sacnilk, the film minted a gross collection of over 8 crore from theatres in India.

In our Mask movie review, Avinash Ramachandran wrote, "Mask should have been infinitely more entertaining. But it misses out a trick or two because of certain aspects not translating well onscreen."
