Parasakthi will mark a first, among Sivkarthikeyan's filmography. The actor who has started his career by making comedies, shifted to more dramatic roles, which have gained more depth over the course of his career. While films like Amaran (2024) and Madharaasi (2025) signify the actor's ability to venture in more dark spaces, Parasakthi will be the first time Sivakarthikeyan will explore the period drama genre.

Speaking at an event for the film, Sivakarthikeyan said, "I believe that this film will be inspiring to everyone watching." The actor added, "Parasakthi will talk about the power of students, and the audiences will definitely be able to see that."

While the plot of the film is yet to be revealed, the film is reportedly based on the Anti-Hindi agitations during the years 1965.

While details of Atharvaa and Sreeleela's characters are yet to be revealed, Ravi Mohan will be playing the role of an antagonist, a first in his career.

Sudha Kongara reunites with GV Prakash Kumar after Soorarai Potru (2020). Parasakthi will be the latter's 100th film as a composer.
