Ram's Paranthu Po, Sasikumar, Tourist Family win big at Chennai International Film Festival

Paranthu Po and Tourist Family were part of the Tamil Feature Film competition of the Chennai International Film Festival

At the recently concluded Chennai International Film Festival, Ram's Paranthu Po won the award for the Best Tamil Feature Film. Meanwhile, Tourist Family, which stars Sasikumar and Simran in the lead, won the Second Best Feature Film Award.

Sasikumar won the award for Best Actor in a Tamil Feature Film for his performance as an Sri Lankan Tamil immigrant in Tourist Family. Lijomol Jose won the award for Best Actress in a Tamil Feature Film for her performance as a lesbian dancer in Kadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai.

Actor Kaali Venkat won the Special Jury Award for his role as a hardworking father in Madras Matinee. Sheela Rajkumar was awarded the Special Mention Certificate for her role in Vembu.

S Pandikumar took home the Best Cinematographer award for his work in Alangu. While Nagooran Ramachandran won the Best Editor award for his work in Mayakoothu. Alagiakoothan was awarded Best Sound Recordist for his work in 3 BHK and Alangu.

Nikola I Vukcevic's The Tower of Strength (Obraz), won the award for Best International Feature Film. Meanwhile, Murat Ceri's Creating a Man was award the Second Best International Feature Film.

Lalith Rathnayake's Riverstone won the Special Jury Award in the World Cinema Feature category.
