With Sirai, actor Vikram Prabhu's 25th film, set for a theatrical release on December 25, it is garnering overwhelming positive response from filmmakers following a special screening.

Filmmaker Nithilan Saminathan praised the film for carrying "in-depth details on police procedurals". He goes on to share that the film convincingly talks about contemporary politics. Applauding the cast and crew, he said that the "authentic faces" made the story feel real and lauded Vikram Prabhu and debutant LK Akshay Kumar's performances. He appreciated the debut filmmaker Suresh Rajakumari and the script by filmmaker Tamizh.

Directed by Suresh Rajakumari, Sirai marks the debut of LK Akshay Kumar, son of producer Lalit Kumar. Sirai, which stars Vikram Prabhu as a cop and Akshay Kumar as the accused, has a story written by Tamizh, who made his directorial debut with Taanakkaran, with the former.

Sirai, marking Vikram Prabhu's 25th feature, is produced by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios banner. The film also stars Anishma Anilkumar in her debut and Anantha. The rest of the technical crew includes cinematographer Madhesh Manickam, editor Philomin Raj, and production designer Raghava Sanjivi.
