Superstar Rajinikanth turned 75 on December 12, and social media was flooded with love from colleagues, friends, political leaders and fans. The milestone birthday, which also coincides with his 50th year in cinema, saw some of the biggest names across industries celebrating the legendary actor.
Kamal Haasan shared a photo of the two together, marking both the personal and professional milestones. “75 years of a remarkable life. 50 years of legendary cinema,” he wrote, adding a warm birthday wish to his long-time friend.
Mohanlal echoed the sentiment, thanking Rajinikanth for being a guiding force for generations. His message read, “Warmest birthday wishes to dear Rajinikanth Sir. As you celebrate 50 remarkable years in cinema, thank you for inspiring generations with your values, strength, and extraordinary spirit. May God bless you always with peace, good health, and boundless joy.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his greetings in Tamil. “Greetings to Thiru Rajinikanth Ji on the special occasion of his 75th birthday,” he wrote. “His performances have captivated generations… This year has been notable because he completed 50 years in the world of films.
