The makers of Kombuseevi released the trailer for the upcoming film. The release for the film was initially planned for December 25, but was later advanced to December 19.

Kombuseevi, which stars R Sarath Kumar and Shanmuga Pandiyan in the lead, is directed by Ponram. The director is known for his collaborations with Sivakarthikeyan on films like Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam (2013), Rajinimurugan (2016), and Seemaraja (2018). Mukesh T Chelliah is on board as the producer. Star Cinemas is the banner backing the film.

The cast of the film also includes Tharnika, Anaira Gupta, George Maryan, and Sujith Shankar. Sujith is known for his role in Karthik Subburaj's Retro, which stars Suriya in the lead.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for Kombuseevi, with lyrics by Yuga Bhaarathi, Pa Vijay, Snehan, and Super Subbu.

The crew of the film includes Balasubramaniem as the director of photography, Dinesh Ponraj as the editor, Saravana Abiram as the art director, and Phoenix Prabhu, Sakthi Saravanan as the stunt choreographers.
