The makers of Root - Running Out of Time, revealed that Aparshakti Khurana has completed dubbing for the film. The actor, who is known for his projects in Hindi, has dubbed in Tamil for the first time.

Root is directed by Sooriyaprathap S, who has previously worked as an associate director on the Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiiyaan (2014). Root is produced by Shaik Mujeeb. Verus Productions is the banner backing the film.

Aparshakti is making his Tamil debut on Root. He is known for his work on Stree (2018) and Stree 2 (2024), and was last seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's CTRL (2024).

The cast of Root also include Bhavya Trikha, Y Gee Mahendran, Pavni Reddy, Linga, and RJ Anandhi. Filming on Root completed recently in November.

Meanwhile, Gautham Ram Karthik will be seen alongside Selvaraghavan in a new film directed by Dhina Raghavan, an associate of Raju Murugan (Cuckoo and Japan).
