Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench and Lokesh Kanagaraj to produce Rathna Kumar's next

The makers will announce the film's title and drop its first look tomorrow

Cinema Express Desk

Since last day, there has been some speculation about Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench banner and Lokesh Kanagaraj joining forces as producers for Rathna Kumar's next film as a director. Earlier today, the filmmaker, known for directing Meyaadha Maan and Aadai, confirmed the project. He shared a poster that credits Kaarthikeyan S of the Stone Bench banner and G Squad's Lokesh as the film's producers. The makers also revealed that they would announce the film's title and drop its first-look at 1:29 pm tomorrow. Composer Sean Roldan is also part of the project.

The poster shows a group of youngsters trying to push a bus from behind, even as two lovers stand there, not bothering about what the others are doing and touching each other's foreheads. Sharing the poster, Stone Bench wrote in the caption, "It might look like a breakdown... but it's actually the beginning," followed by a love emoticon. The poster also contains the text, "Tinder, Bumble, Oyo."

The poster and the accompanying caption suggest that it is a relationship drama set in Chennai, but the makers are expected to reveal further details soon. The film marks a comeback to direction for Rathna Kumar after 2022's Gulu Gulu. Meanwhile, he made contributions to the dialogues in films, such as Master and Vikram. Interestingly, a few days ago, Rathna Kumar praised Angammal, a film presented by Stone Bench.
