Karthik Subbbaraj's Stone Bench Productions' next titled Neelira

Karthik Subbaraj's production banner, Stone Bench Production, announced on Sunday, that their next film is titled Neelira. The film is written and directed by Someetharan, an Eelam Tamil filmmaker.  

While plot details are still under wraps, Neelira is billed to be a film that will recount stories from the Sri Lankan civil war. Naveen Chandra, who was recently seen in Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda Double X plays the lead in Neelira. Vidhu, who was seen as Shetani in the film, is also a part of Someetharan's film.

Kapila Venu, Sanath, Roopa Koduvayur, Rohit D Kokate, and Sidhu Kumaresan, round out the cast of Neelira. The makers also released the first look title poster of the film, featuring the film's female cast. The tagline of the film read "A Long Night". 

The cinematography of Neelira has been handled by Pratheepan, while the editing is done by Radha Sridhar, who has worked on films like Hey Sinamika and Ammu. Kaarthekeyen Santhanam will be backing the film along with Karthik under their Stone Bench banner.

A release date for Neelira is yet to be announced.
