Sivakarthikeyan was one among the many celebrities who attended the launch of Ravi Mohan's production house Ravi Mohan Studios. The grand launch was followed by Ravi Mohan unveiling his plans for the next ten years and announcing his own directorial debut. Expressing his elation on Ravi Mohan's new venture, he said, "More than making a movie, it is a huge responsibility to start a production house. I always call Ravi Mohan as 'sir' as he is my senior in the industry. We had the opportunity to interact better during the shoot of Parasakthi."
He went on to praise the actor for being humble and sweet. "The impression we have when we see him on screen, is how he is in real life as well. Beyond calling and inviting me to this occasion, he ensured to remind me about the same. I can see the dream and passion he has inside him. Each of the ventures announced here are in different genres, and I can see where his versatility to don different roles come from," he said.
Sivakarthikeyan also revealed that he watched the promo of Bro Code and appreciated Karthik Yogi for the same, for making an enjoyable entertainer. He also spoke about Yogi Babu's dedication and noted that he never limits himself to being a comedian alone. "He is an amazing performer and going by the visuals of his new film, directed by Ravi Mohan, it feels like it will be an ordinary man's extraordinary journey. He is the perfect hero for this," he added.
The Amaran actor highlighted the difficulties that arise from becoming a producer, stating, "Not everyone can become a director although many have the wish to become one. I see that potential in Ravi Mohan and Karthi. Soon, I would also love to see Manikandan becoming a filmmaker. I am eager to see that side from him."
The star-studded event also saw Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh in attendance. Prior to the speeches, Genelia and Ravi Mohan recreated an iconic scene from their 2008 film Santosh Subramaniam. Noting that the moment brought back memories from his college days, he expressed his admiration for Genelia and hoped that the duo would work together again in a film soon.
Sivakarthikeyan, who is also a producer himself, backing films through his banner Sivakarthikeyan productions, underlined the difficulties behind being a producer. "I have a lot of experience in this. There has been pain and agony. The happiness that I get in producing films... I don't get the same in my acting roles. The learnings and the liberty that you get while producing a film cannot be acquired through my acting assignments," he said.
On their upcoming film Parasakthi with director Sudha Kongara, he shared that he initially had mixed emotions acting alongside Ravi Mohan. "It felt different as I have seen him earlier in many films. But that was just the first day. Later, I was comfortable. However, on the sets, we can't be enjoying all the time as Sudha ma'am is strict," he said. The actor also conveyed his interest to work under Ravi Mohan Productions for a film. "I am ready to give dates. He (Ravi) has to confirm the rest. If you give me the advance money, will I say no?," he said jokingly.
Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan, the film stars Atharvaa Murali and Sreeleela in crucial roles.
Parasakthi marks the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara. The director's regular collaborator, GV Prakash, is the composer of the film, with the technical crew rounded out by cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, editor Sathish Suriya, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar. A release date is yet to be unveiled.
