Sachin Tendulkar praises Siddharth's 3BHK, director Sri Ganesh calls him "childhood hero"

In a crossover that no one saw coming, Siddharth's latest film 3 BHK has found a new fan in cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar himself. In a recent interaction on Reddit, he was asked about the movies he watched and enjoyed recently. To this, he replied, "I watch them as and when I get time. The recent ones I have enjoyed are 3BHK and Ata Thambaycha Naay!."

As the screenshot of the conversation went viral on social media, director Sri Ganesh expressed his gratitude and happiness on his X handle. He wrote, "Thank you very much Sachin Tendulkar sir. You are our childhood hero. This means a lot to our film."

Sachin's reply on Reddit

Arun Viswa, who backed 3BHK under the Shanthi Talkies banner, couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the post. He shared his emotions of shock and surprise through his X handle as well. "Typed so many times but still not able to find words to express! I will find some and then react. Because I just saw something which is beyond my wildest imagination," he wrote.

Released in theatres on July 4, 3BHK starred Siddharth, Devayani, Sarathkumar and Meetha Raghunath in lead roles. The film also had Kannada actor Chaithra Achar of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello-fame in a prominent role. The film marked her Tamil debut. Yogi Babu was also seen in a supporting role.

An ecstatic Chaithra too shared her happiness on X, saying, "So I can flex about this no? The cricket god Sachin Tendulkar has watched our film 3BHK and says he enjoyed it! Love you sir, thank you. This means the world to us!"

3BHK revolved around Sarathkumar and Siddharth's family and their prolonged struggles to purchase a three-bedroom house while dealing with their personal issues. Upon release, the film opened to mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences.

Meanwhile, Ata Thambaycha Naay! is a Marathi film co-written and directed by Shivraj Waichal. It stars an ensemble cast including Bharat Jadhav, Siddhartha Jadhav, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Prajakta Hanamghar, Kiran Khoje, Parna Pethe, Om Bhutkar and Rohini Hattangadi. Based on a true story, the film highlights the dedication and lives of employees of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The film was released in May this year and earned positive responses.
