The second single from Sivakarthikeyan's Madharaasi, which is directed by AR Murugadoss, entitled 'Vazhiyiraen' released recently. Rukmini Vasanth also stars in the film, which is set to be released on September 5.

Anirudh has composed music and provide vocals for 'Vazhiyiraen', with lyrics by director Vignesh Shivan, who has frequently written for Anirudh's compositions. The music video features montages from the film, which features interactions between the characters of Sivakarthikeyan and Rukmini Vasanth.

The rest of the cast of the film includes Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Vikranth. Vidyut reunites with AR Murugadoss after Thuppakki, which starred Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in the lead.

The crew of the film includes Sudeep Elamon as the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad as the editor.

Previously a single from the film, titled 'Salambala', which was sung by Sai Abhyankkar was released on July 31. Additionally, the trailer for the film and the rest of the album will be released on August 24.
