T Rajendhar's Uyirullavarai Usha gets a re-release

He added that following Uyirullavarai Usha, he is planning to re-release his other films too

Veteran filmmaker T Rajendhar announced that his film Uyirullavarai Usha will get a re-release in theatres in September.

During the press meet, he said the film is special to him as it was the first film he made after marriage and was named after his wife, Usha. He added that he chose September to re-release the film as that was the month he got married.

He also launched a company, TR Talkies, dedicated to working on remastering and upgrading his old films to the present technical standards. He added that following Uyirullavarai Usha, he is planning to re-release his other films too. 

The multi-faceted filmmaker Rajendhar began his career with Oru Thalai Ragam in 1980 and went on to deliver hits such as Rail Payanangalil (1981), Raagam Thedum Pallavi (1982), Uyirullavari Usha (1983), Uravai Kaatha Kili (1984), Mythili Ennai Kaathali (1986), Oru Thayin Sabatham (1987), En Thangai Kalyani (1988), and Enga Veetu Velan (1992).

T Rajendhar, who recently was a part of the hit song 'Chikitu Vibe' in Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie, has also sung several chartbusters.
