As Rajinikanth begins his 51st year in film with the release of Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, celebrities from various industries have sent wishes to him and his film.

Actor Meena, who has acted in several films with Rajinikanth, posted a video about lessons she learned from him. She noted his simplicity and the respect he gives everyone on set, regardless of their status. She added that she is still trying to follow the meditation and exercise advice Rajinikanth gave her.

At the end, Meena said she is not old enough to wish him, but still she wishes only the best for him on all fronts in his life.

Meena first collaborated with Rajinikanth as a child artist in Anbulla Rajinikanth (1984). She went on to star opposite him in Yejaman (1993), Veera (1994), and Muthu (1995). She played a cameo in the actor's 2021 film Annaatthe.

Coolie, marking the maiden collaboration between Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth, opened to mixed to negative reviews. While critics and audiences praised the performances, they criticised the writing.

An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "This is the biggest drawback of Coolie. There are so many characters, and yet, the writing doesn't allow any of them to flourish except for Soubin’s Dayalan and Shruti’s Preethi. Surprisingly, even Deva gets a raw deal as his start-stop arc is as random as the machinations of Simon and the machine of Rajasekhar. In fact, the point that connects Simon’s gang and Rajasekhar’s family starts with promise but tapers off soon enough because the idea isn't fleshed out enough."
