Days after being announced the winner of the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his 2024 film Parking, starring Harish Kalyan in the lead, actor MS Bhaskar said that the recognition is God's test of his humility.

In his interview with a Tamil YouTube channel following the award announcement, Bhaskar said God wants to test if he is still humble after winning the award. In his usual humourous manner, he said, "What is there to be proud and arrogant about? I once had hair, but I lost it and cannot regain it, no matter what. That is how much control you have over your life. So there is no need to sport horns on my head. I will remain the same as I was before winning the award."

Adding to his reaction after winning the award, the actor said, "Be it an experienced director or a debutant, I will still be the obedient actor who humbles his will to the filmmakers' creative needs." That is also the piece of advice he gave to the youngsters.

Apart from the Best Supporting Actor category, Parking's director Ramkumar Balakrishnan won in the Best Screenplay and Best Film in Tamil categories.
