Ajith Kumar admitted in Apollo Hospital for general checkup

Fresh from receiving the Padma Bhushan award from President Droupadi Murmu, Ajith Kumar has checked himself into Chennai's Apollo Hospital for a general medical evaluation, sources close to us say. Around the same time last year, reports said that the actor visited the same hospital for a minor medical procedure. Of late, Ajith has been busy with his motorsport commitments for his namesake racing team. Recently, his team finished second at Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Earlier this year, the actor had a bumper success with Good Bad Ugly, his film with director Adhik Ravichandran. Reportedly, the film crossed 200 crore at the global box office.

Recently, the actor had informed that he would only sign new projects after completing his racing commitments. In a recent interview, he stated that he would perhaps act for films "between October, until March before the racing season commences."
