Prabhu-Vetri starrer Rajaputhiran clears censorship formalities

The makers of actors Prabhu and Vetri-starrer Rajaputhiran have shared an announcement regarding the release and censorship.

While it was earlier said the film will get an April release, the latest update is that the release has been moved to May without specifying a date. Also, the film has cleared the censorship formalities and has obtained a U/A certificate from the CBFC.

The film is directed by debutant Mahaa Kandhan, who has worked as a co-director with filmmaker Vasanth S Sai in Sivaranjaniyum Innum Sila Pengallum (2019). The film also stars Krishna Priya as the female lead, Thangadurai, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Imman Annachi in prominent roles.

Backed by Crescent Cine Creations' KM Safi, the technical crew of the film consists of cinematographer Oliver Deny, music composer Nawfal Raja, editor Kamalakannan K, dance choreographer Sridhar, lyricist Vairamuthu, and stunt directors Rakesh and Danger Mani.

Prabhu was last seen in the Ajith Kumar starrer Good Bad Ugly that released recently, and he also made an appearance in Nesippaya, directed by Vishnu Vardhan. Meanwhile, Vetri, who was seen in Aalan, also has Aanmagan and Iravu in the pipeline.
