With just two weeks to go for the release of Suriya's much-anticipated film Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the makers of the action film have announced that the audio and trailer for it will be launched on April 18.

All the three songs that have been released till now - 'Kannadi Poove', 'Kanimaa' and 'The One' have received positive response from the audience.

Produced by Suriya-Jyotika's 2D Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films, Retro also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead along with Jayaram, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Sujith Shankar, Karunakaran, Tamizh, Prem Kumar, Ramachandran Durairaj, Sandeep Raj, Murugavel, and Remya Suresh, among others.

Retro went on floors last year, and shooting was wrapped up in October. While a previously released teaser revealed Suriya's character trying to put his life of crime behind him for the sake of his love for Pooja Hedge's character, the film's plot is largely undisclosed.

With Santhosh Narayanan as the music composer, the technical crew of the film crew comprises cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Shafique Mohamed, art director Jackson, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee, and costume designer Praveen Raja.

Retro is all set for release in theatres on May 1.
