The first single from director Sundar C’s much-anticipated comedy drama Gangers, starring himself and Vadivelu in the lead, has been released. Titled 'Kuppan', the song has been picturised on the leading lady Catherine Tresa. Composed by C Sathya, the song’s lyrics have been penned by Pa Vijay and are sung by Meenakshi and Gunasundari.

The earlier released trailer of the film showcased Sundar C as an undercover cop posing as a physical education trainer at a school, where he shares teaching duties with the inept Vadivelu. Sundar C's mission is to bring a group of thieves to justice by outsmarting them and stealing crores of rupees. 

Bagavathi Perumal, Esakki Krishnasamy, Hareesh Peradi, Mime Gopi, and Munishkanth round out the supporting cast of Gangers.

Some of the popular films that featured a collaboration between Sundar C and Vadivelu include Winner, Giri, Thalainagaram, and London, among others. Their last work together was in Nagaram Marupakkam, which was released in 2010.

The rest of the technical crew of Gangers comprises cinematographer E Krishnaswamy, and editor Praveen Antony. Khushbu and Sundar C are producing the film under their Avni Cinemax banner, while Benzz Media Pvt Ltd and ACS Arun Kumar are presenting it.

Gangers is scheduled for a release in theatres on April 24.
