Earlier, we reported about actor Ajith planning to take part in the 2024 European GT4 championship and preparing for the European season. Now, the actor has announced a motor racing team named after himself. The Ajith Kumar Racing team will have Fabian Duffieux from Belgium as its racing driver, announced the actor's manager and publicist Suresh Chandra.

"We are proud to announce the beginning of a new exciting adventure: Ajith Kumar Racing. Fabian Duffieux will be the official racing driver. And the amazing news? Aside of being a team owner, Ajith Kumar is back in the racing seat!" wrote Suresh Chandra in the announcement post on X.

Suresh also mentioned Ajith's accomplishments as one of the "few Indians to race in the International arena." Ajith "competed in the 2004 Formula Asia BMW F3 Championships and he raced in the 2010 Formula 2 Championship!!" wrote Suresh.

He also revealed that the "team will be engaged in various internationals racing series starting with the competitive 24H Series in the Porsche 992 GT3 cup category."

On the film front, Ajith is working on Vidaamuyarchi, his film with director Magizh Thirumeni that also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra in key roles. His upcoming releases also include Good Bad Ugly, the Adhik Ravichandran directorial.
