Red Giant bags Vettaiyan's Tamil Nadu theatrical rights

Vettaiyan is scheduled to hit theaters on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada

Tamil film production and distribution company Red Giant Movies has bagged the distribution rights for Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan, the makers announced on Friday.

The announcement comes days before the film's release.

The makers of the film, directed by TJ Gnanavel, have been revealing the cast details for the past few days. Accordingly, Amitabh Bachchan (in his Tamil debut) plays the roles of Sathyadev, Fahadh Faasil as Patrick, Rana Daggubati as Natraj, Manju Warrier as Thara, Kishore as Harish, Ritika Singh as Roopa, Dushara Vijayan as Saranya, and VJ Rakshan.

The film's audio and prevue were launched recently in Chennai. The glimpse suggests that the film will discuss extrajudicial killings by police officers.

On the technical crew, Vettaiyan has music by Anirudh. This marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth. Other members include cinematographer SR Kathir and editor Philomin Raj.

Vettaiyan is scheduled to hit theaters on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
