The makers of the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan starrer Amaran posted on their social media that 'Heart of Amaran,' which is presumably a single from the film, will release tomorrow. The film will release this Diwali, on October 31, and has music by GV Prakash Kumar.
Also starring Sai Pallavi as the female lead, Amaran is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. The film tells the story of late army officer Major Mukund Varadarajan. The story is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless.
Amaran stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. Mukund Varadarajan was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his act of bravery during a counterterrorism operation while on deputation to the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion in Jammu and Kashmir.
On the technical front, it has music by GV Prakash, cinematography by CH Sai, editing by Kalaivanan, and stunt direction by Stefan Richter. Amaran is being bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with Sony Pictures International Productions.
Upon release on October 31, the film will clash with Jayam Ravi's Brother and Kavin's Bloody Beggar.
