Karthi's upcoming outing, Meiyazhagan, which also stars Arvind Swami in the lead, has cleared censorship formalities with a clean 'U' certificate. Additionally, the censor certificate also reveals that the film's runtime is 2 hours and 57 minutes. 

Directed by C Premkumar, Meiyazhagan also stars Sri Divya, Rajkiran, Saran Shakthi, Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sri Ranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, Saran, Rachel Rebecca, Anthony, Rajkumar, Indumati, Rani Samyukta, Kayal Subramani, and Ashok Pandian.

Meiyazhagan is produced by Suriya and Jyotika under their 2D Entertainment banner. The film has cinematography by Mahendran Jayaraju and editing by R Govindraj. The film reunites Govind Vasantha and Prem Kumar after their blockbuster soundtrack in 96.

Meiyazhagan is all set for theatrical release on September 27. It will release alongside Vijay Antony's Hitler and Prabhu Deva's Petta Rap.
